Job Summary:

Appbay Technologies is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Database Engineer to join our team in Jaipur. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing databases that support our software applications, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain relational and non-relational database systems.
• Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions for improved efficiency.
• Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Ensure database security and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate database solutions into applications.
• Monitor database health and capacity planning to meet future scalability needs.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures for data protection.
• Perform data migration and conversion between different systems as required.
• Document database structures, processes, and standards for team reference.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in database design, development, and administration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis is a plus.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
• Understanding of database security best practices.
• Experience with database backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud databases such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud Spanner.
• Knowledge of data modeling tools like ER/Studio or dbForge.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools.
• Exposure to version control systems like Git.
