Job Summary:

Appbay Technologies is looking for a skilled API Developer with a passion for building efficient and scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain APIs that enable seamless communication between applications, ensuring top-notch performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support business requirements.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs into applications effectively.
• Write clean, reusable, and scalable code adhering to best practices.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, or similar.
• Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Debug and resolve technical issues related to API functionality or performance.
• Ensure proper API documentation for external and internal consumption using tools like Swagger or Postman.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
• Monitor API usage and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in API development and backend programming.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or PHP.
• Strong experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in using version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
